Once you have filed for bankruptcy, the debt collectors no longer have the right to continue to call you, leave messages, or harass you in any other way. If they are still contacting you, it is possible that the information of your bankruptcy has not reached them. It is common for the information not to get to them especially with outside collections. If you would like, you can provide them with your bankruptcy case filing number and the date filed to let them know of your status. They should discontinue their calls after they have that information, otherwise you should consult your lawyer to seek action.
